Goodbye Melbourne

On Wednesday the 15th of June I headed off to Melbourne with a very lovely man to see an exhibition called ‘The Art of The Brick’ at Federation Square and to generally say goodbye to my favourite place in Australia.

We were worried that we might not get off the ground due to the ash clouds that have been passing over the Southern part of Australia. We were delayed a couple of hours but sure enough we got there.

We has initially planned to stay only one night, but a second ash cloud made its way in our direction and we were stranded in Melbourne for another night.. which is quite funny as we were complaining all day that we wanted to stay another night, so it worked our quite well.

We spent the two and half days exploring all of my favourite areas in Melbourne; Balaclava, Windsor, Prahran and Fitzroy, eating delicious food, visiting exhibitions, taking photographs, looking through vintage shops, drinking beer and lots and lots of coffee.

Melbourne... I will miss you!!!
